For Nuclear Thyroid Uptake

• Do not eat kelp, seaweed, vitamins with minerals, or seafood for at least 3 days prior to the test. Do not eat solid food for two hours prior to the test.

For Hepatobiliary (HIDA)

• No solids or liquids by mouth for 3 hours prior to the study.
