Elias Kazam, M.D.

Dr. Kazam joined the practice after three decades at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center where he was Professor and Associate Chairman of the Department of Radiology. A nationally recognized expert in Diagnostic Radiology, Dr. Kazam pioneered the use of Ultrasound, Body CT and Body MR Imaging, and has trained scores of radiologists in these techniques. His initial research in the 1970’s established the clinical correlation between cross-sectional anatomy and ultrasound, followed by CT and then MRI.

An examiner in Ultrasound for the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Kazam is also a member emeritus of the prestigious Society of Computed Body Tomography/MR and a fellow of the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound. His expertise in Ultrasound and CT guided biopsy procedures facilitate histological verification of abnormalities seen in PET/CT.
