MDRCD Studies
- Chest CT Angiogram:
- Allows direct visualization of the aorta, pulmonary arteries, coronary arteries and great vessels. Useful to evaluate for coronary artery disease, aortic aneurysms, aortic dissections, and pulmonary emboli (blood clots in the lungs).
- Abdominal/Renal CT Angiogram:
- Allows direct visualization of the abdominal aorta, renal arteries and mesenteric arteries. Useful to evaluate for aneurysms, claudication, uncontrolled blood pressure, and unexplained abdominal pain.
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) CT Angiogram with Endovascular Graft Protocol option:
- Allows for preoperative assessment of abdominal aneurysms to be treated with endovascular grafts. The patient will undergo an initial pregraft scan and two postgraft scans obtained at 1 month and 6 months postoperative.
- Lower Extremity CT Angiogram:
- Allows direct visualization of the peripheral arterial vessels down to the toes. Useful for assessment of claudication, rest pain, postsurgical vascular grafts and diabetic atherosclerosis.
- Carotid CT Angiogram:
- Allows direct visualization of the carotid and vertebral arteries in the neck. Useful to evaluate for symptoms of stroke, dizziness, and visual disturbances.
- Neurovascular CT Angiogram:
- Allows for direct visualization of the intracranial arterial and venous vessels. Useful for evaluation for intracranial aneurysms and vascular malformations as well as symptoms of headache, dizziness and tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
