Screening Studies

Pulmonary Screening

A thin section chest CT scan is performed as a screen for pulmonary nodules and lung cancer. The study is designed for those who are former or current cigarette smokers and are at greater risk of lung cancer than non-smokers. If a pulmonary nodule is detected, your physician will determine if follow up CT scan, PET scan, needle biopsy or nodule excision is required for further evaluation.

Patient Preparation:

No preparation is necessary for the MDR Pulmonary Screening Study. The study will only be performed with a written prescription from your doctor.
