Custom Body CT Scan

The MDR Custom Body CT Scan includes a fast gated scan of the coronary arteries for calcium scoring, as well as a thin section CT scan extending from the base of the chin to the top of the iliac crests permitting screening of the thyroid, lungs and upper abdominal organs. The pelvis is not routinely included in the scan, except by request. No oral or intravenous contrast material is used.

Patient Preparation:

We advise patients not to exercise or consume caffeine or alcohol the day of the study. Scanning time is approximately 15-20 minutes. The study will only be performed with a written prescription from your doctor.
